Pineapple Ham

By: Sarah

Ingredients:

4 pounds ham, bone in
10 whole cloves
1 can (20 oz. size) crushed pineapple undrained
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 jar (18 oz. size) pineapple-apricot or all pineapple preserves
1/4 cup dried sour cherries or cranberries
1/4 cup golden raisins

Directions:

Stud ham with cloves and place in slow cooker.  Drain the juice from pineapple and combine with cornstarch.  Add and stir in the preserves and spoon over the ham.  Cook low 5 to 7 hours and add the raisins and cherries and cook one hour more.  Remove ham and let stand 15 minutes before slicing.  Serve with the sauce.  This recipe also works well with a beef roast (just add cloves to the sauce).
